Cormier Media’s Co-Founder, Seth VanDaele’s 5 Golden Rules Of Personal Branding

Seth VanDaele, one of the founders of Cormier Media has introduced a new element in the digital space. The young Canadian entrepreneur shares his rules of personal branding.

  1. Get To The Bottom And Know Who You Are

To build a strong personal brand that genuinely resonates with your identity, you need to get to the bottom and figure out your Ikigai:

  1. What you love
  2. What the world needs
  3. What you can be paid for
  4. What you are good at

This will take your time but figuring out your Ikigai is worth your entire life. Mr. VanDaele knew that business was his cup-of-tea and he went on to find his element. He started working at the age of 14. This young boy tried and tested multiple occupations but every time he craved for something more. When this venturous young man started Cormier Media, he found everything his heart ever craved for and since then, he never looked back.

  1. Define Your Target Audience

When you know who you are, start funneling your target audience. Your target audience is the group of people who will pay for ‘who you are ’ and ‘what you’ll do for them ’. Is your audience business owners? Or individuals? Or recruiters? Defining your target audience is very essential to move forward as a personal brand. The sooner you define the bunch, effortless it will be to craft your identity in the market. Cormier Media started helping the small businesses which were troubled by the pandemic. In the process, they realized that their target audience is small and growing businesses.

  1. Create Your Identity In The Market

There are two broad ways to craft your identity in the market:

a. Word of mouth

In this case, you have only one way to go about it: CLIENT CENTRIC SERVICE. The market is saturated with companies selling similar goods/services. Imagine the graph of your growth if every customer of yours recommends you to at least 2 of their friends!

b. Social media presence

The credibility of a person/company increases multifold if their names appear at the top of the search results on the internet. What if the top searches show your name!

  1. Be Consistent

Show up every day. Not for yourself but for the people who are waiting for you to see you in the form of a daily social media post, some new service update, your progress, or your company’s progress. Small consistencies pile up to mold your success the same way tiny inconsistencies can disrupt the whole spreadsheet of your progress tracking. Some consistencies are not physical but are visually effective. For instance, your confidence, self-doubt, and fear of judgment. You can combat your devils just by being consistent, it is absolutely magical.

  1. Be You

The easiest way to stay on the strike is to be authentic, be genuine, be you. If you try to pretend a personality that you are not, you will get exhausted and burn out sooner. Seth VanDaele knew he is a person of businesses and never tried to flex as a social media expert. Because you don’t want to spend your entire life and energy proving something you are not!
