“You never really discover who you are or what you are made of until you have left your comfort zone.” – Alexis Parcells

Dr. Alexis Parcells is making her mark on the world and empowering women all along the way. As a mother of two daughters, Dr. Parcells is passionate about women’s health and has taken this into her professional and personal world.

Dr. Parcells has a strong academic involvement in the plastic surgery community. She has authored several textbooks and professional journal articles, and she has presented her original research at numerous national and international meetings, including Brussels, Paris, Madrid, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. Her goal is to change the stigma around plastic surgery for women.

“I want women to feel empowered and not guilty or ashamed of their choice to have a Botox treatment or breast lift. There is also a lot of judgment from other women, and it’s important for all of us to create a culture of positivity and self-love,” says Dr.Parcells.

Dr. Parcells first became interested in plastic surgery through her volunteer work with Operation Smile. It was on her first medical mission at the age of 16 to Morocco where she saw the lives of children and their families changed with a simple 1-hour operation. She became passionate about enacting that type of change in the lives of her future patients and focused her studies on a career in medicine.

Unfortunately, from a young age, Alexis always found herself struggling to perform well on standardized tests, thus severely impacting her ability to study medicine in the US. After being rejected from all of the US medical schools she applied to, Alexis had to strongly reconsider if she would go into medicine. Ultimately, she chose to study at St. George’s University in Grenada.

Shortly after graduating, Dr. Parcells realized how much she enjoyed treating members of her community and decided to focus her practice on breast reconstruction and aesthetics. She has since expanded her practice to other areas with the same goal of empowering her patients to make positive changes in their lives.

Dr. Parcells treats women with breast cancer from all walks of life. Pushing herself out of her comfort zone and welcoming all of her clients to come with her, Alexis is devoted to making a positive impact on the lives of the women she works with.
