Two Marketing Mistakes Keeping Sales Away From You With Isabella Sánchez

Following your heart and doing a business out of your passion sounds delightful. When in action, things are not the same. Fear is one of the most common feelings when facing the challenges of entrepreneurship. In 2021, we have to handle the diversity in the market, the different platforms to manage, and changing trends. You may be an expert in your field, but marketing is another world. We bet there are various mistakes you are making, and we brought the master to guide you the way.

Meet Isabella Sanchez, the Yoda to your Luke. Isabella broke all the myths when she built a multiple 6 figure business with less than 2,000 followers on Instagram (impressive, right?). Born and raised in Mexico, Isabella started as an actor and YouTuber with a passion for personal development and leadership for young women. She had 33K subscribers but no money. Broke and stressed, Isabella learned the hard way that experience does not equal clients.

With less than 500 dollars to her name, Isabella invested in a business coach. She was determined to learn everything there was to know about digital marketing. Now, she’s a 6-figure coach living her dream life in Europe. Isabella learned from her mistakes and found her clients go through them as well.

Let’s get to it.

We don’t know who said it, but around 2016 they brainwashed us with the idea: the more you teach, the more people buy from you. This is no lie, but as Isabella says: “The big mistake that leads to no sales is excessive teaching content. People see giving value just as how-to’s, tips, and hacks. If you want to build an engaged and profitable audience, be super clear about what you want”. Break the barrier from being educative and social to selling. The Latina coach advises entrepreneurs to take their teaching content down up to 40%. This will help you grow and prioritize other types of content.

You need to make sure every piece of content you are posting is linked to what you are selling and your methodology. So your content is building authority and top-of-mind awareness in that specific topic.

“Many coaches are not making sales because they are regurgitating what other people say,” shares Ms. Sanchez. “Sharing their beliefs scares people. So I always ask them: ‘What’s that one thing you’ve been wanting to say but are scared to put out there?’ That’s what will bring the sales. Don’t be scared to call out what’s being done wrong in your industry and the changes you wish to see.” Isabella also advises sharing your personal story and experiences to bring your audience closer to you.

Find YOUR people.

“To niche-down terrifies people.” Shares Isabella. Niche-down means focusing on a particular area in your industry for a specific group of people solving a specific problem. “People are afraid of sticking to a niche and losing sales. They think: ‘I’m leaving so many opportunities, I’m losing so many people.’ And then I ask, how is not niching down working out for them?” Ms. Sanchez finds that if you don’t have an established brand, niching is the fastest way to succeed, allowing you to reduce your competition and become an industry leader.

Maybe you are interested in becoming a marketing coach, but what if you become a marketing coach for fitness specialists? “The more specific you are, the message will be watered down. It will convert better and be more powerful”. When you focus on a specific target, you’ll invest your resources better and get to know them better by doing in-depth research.

Isabella’s mission is to empower women by building massively profitable businesses so they can live a life full of choice. She wants to educate Latina women to focus on the number of their bank account and the number of lives they change, not their follower count.
