Ex-squeeze me? Dogs and drones in a battle to deliver your packages?
This is just the proposition being made by CIK 7 Lucky Puppies Trucking. The overland cargo carrier, an upstart doing coast to coast shipments, is spearheaded by a driver and developer with seven dogs who travel across the country, their eyes on your packages and paws on the wheel, in a modified Mercedes Benz cargo van with, of course, a viewing deck for the pooches.
The company is coming to California, with shipments to and from New York and New Jersey for Los Angeles and San Francisco. The owner said he just got sick of the 9 to 5 grind and wanted a job that would allow him to bring his two dogs on the road.
The two pets had five pups just last month. You can expect to see Zorro, Zelda, Zena, Zuri, Zack and mom and dad Zeus and Zoey on the road in the near future. “People love when they look into the cab and see the babies. Aside from getting your goods delivered professionally, the pups deliver love.”
The cute little puppies travel in a vehicle with a custom air conditioning and heating system that runs separate of the engine, so they always have a suitable climate. “The dogs have their favorite places. Dad Zeus likes San Francisco, but Zack has his eyes set on Hollywood—he is a born superstar.” Almost every highway rest area and truck stop in the United States has a dedicated area for dogs to play and “do their doggie business in”.
C.I.K. stands for Christ Is King, the owners relate that the bible tells us we need to love and care for our animals, and they plan to expand in the next year. “People need good paying jobs, and when you have drivers on the road up to 30 days at a time, it’s important they can have their pets and loved ones on the road with them. Its just not the same, seeing the country and making those miles, all by yourself. We aim to be a true family friendly company, and the dogs are family.”
