Author Michael H. Forde Sheds Light To Youth On The Importance Of Discipline On The Road To Success

Michael H. Forde, author of the book Success Begins From Where You Are!, is a young 25-year-old man who is passionate about encouraging individuals to reach the stars and beyond. His book, written and designed to motivate people, especially youth, is a best-seller, changing the lives of those both nationally and abroad.

Forde, a native of Brooklyn, NY, was raised in Clayton, NC. Born to Caribbean parents, he was taught the value of hard work and education at a very young age. Guided by his family’s values of determination and focus, Forde received the Gates Millennium Scholarship during his senior year of high school. The scholarship, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, gifted Forde the opportunity to receive his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree at no cost.

Michael H. Forde went on to graduate high school at the age of 16, college at the age of 19, and received his master’s degree at the age of 22. Not wanting to keep the principles of discipline to himself, Forde set out on a journey to write a book. Now, his writings are popular among individuals aiming for success, especially youth.

“As an author, I have the opportunity to join forces with various organizations and universities to speak to their youth. When speaking to them, I try to always let them know that the road to success is not as hard as they may think; small baby steps amount to a long stride in the park when you are disciplined and focused”, said Forde. 

Currently, Forde is beginning his doctoral program in public health at George Washington University, in Washington, D.C. He hopes to continue to have the opportunities to allow the younger generation to understand that success is not limited to a certain race, gender, or class. As Forde says in his writings, success begins from where you are.
