Shaun Weiss aka Goldberg from the iconic Mighty Ducks films, who just celebrated being four years sober and not being homeless here in California anymore, was brought up on stage in Anaheim, CA the other night at the House of Blues in front of a sold out crowd for country singer Niko Moon‘s BETTER DAYS tour stop.
Niko, who is sober as well and recently launched the Happy Cowboy Foundation, which gives free therapy and support to those suffering from mental health and addiction problems, helped celebrate Shaun’s recent positive turn of events in front of the Mighty Ducks “hometown” loving crowd, labeling Shaun to the crowd as “Anaheim’s best goalie ever!”
Before performing his new single called Better Days (where all streaming profits of the single are being donated back to charity), Niko and Shaun talked to the crowd about the power of positivity and helping others, which was followed by a “Quack! Quack! Quack!” chant as per Shaun’s character in the movies; Niko then tossed a signed jersey into the crowd as a souvenir for one lucky fan.
Also in the crowd showing their support were former child star Natanya Beth Ross, who was one of the first people to help Shaun go into treatment, and Roseanne / The Conners actor Michael Fishman, who lost his son a few years ago from a drug overdose, and is a supporter of the HCF.
Niko’s BETTER DAYS tour continues forward with more dates recently announced, along with special VIP Meet & Greets at each show, whereas the money from these meetings will be donated back to charity as well.
