Scott Cooper’s Crazy Heart Completes One Decade, Still Popular Among People

Crazy Heart, 2009 American drama film has completed one decade in the film industry. The famous director Scott Cooper worked on the movie and it was the first movie of his directing career. Even after completing 10 years, the film is still alive in the minds of the people and people still appreciate the director, Scott J Cooper for his creative work in the film.

A Scott J Cooper Miami favorite, Crazy Heart is based on the 1987 novel of the same name by Thomas Cobb. It revolves around a down-and-out country music musician, who enters a romantic relationship with a young journalist, in order to change his life. The actor, Jeff Bridges who played the role of the musician in the film received the 2009 Academy Award for Best Actor for his excellent performance in the film. Maggie Gyllenhaal played the role of the young journalist and the other supporting roles were played by Colin Farrell and Robert Duvall.

The film performed well at the box office and received an excellent response from the audience. Despite releasing in the limited region of the US, it collected domestic earnings of $39.5 million and earned $7.9 Million internationally to take its global earning to $47.4 million. Crazy Heart was produced by Country Music Television for $7 million and the director Scoot Cooper’s direction career received an excellent start with this movie.
