‘Paid’ is the newest single by breakthrough artist P Double and its seriously fire (to say the least).
After sitting down with him for a while to speak about his journey and also his new single, we can see why ‘Paid’ has already accumulated a massive 18,000+ streams on just Spotify alone.
We were interested to learn how young, independent artists like P Double break out into the music industry and were even more surprised and intrigued to learn that P Double was actually heavily invested into the dance industry from a very early age.
During our interview, he discussed his dance career and how it really shaped him as a person, creator, and entertainer.
More importantly, he mentioned how dancing has allowed him to become more connected and in tune with himself and sparked a newfound ambition of grasping the music industry by storm as a world class entertainer.
As most of his successes come from his independent work, it was lovely to hear that he has now linked with Kingsroad Entertainment and also expressed how that link has changed his life forever.
When asked what advice he would give to any inspiring artists that look up to his artistry, he had the following to say:
“This can be applied to more than one aspect of life, but I always tell aspiring artists to do a ton of reflecting, dissecting, and connecting to self. Being familiar with who you are, comfortable in your own skin, and knowing your strengths and weaknesses will be a far greater asset to you than anything. Sprinkle unshakable confidence and a will to work hard with patience on top and you have a recipe for success. Your thoughts are things. What you believe you will achieve. The world needs your art. You’re literally filling a void no one else can fill. There is only one of you. You don’t need a gimmick, you don’t need trends, you just need to be you. No one else can do what you do.”
