The Top Travel Safety Tips to Follow During the Pandemic

Despite the global pandemic, travel hasn’t come to a complete stop. You can still fly in between states, across state lines, and even to other countries. As you can imagine, though, you do have to be a lot more careful than you once were.

To ensure that you are keeping yourself well protected while flying, you should consider the following tips. They will go a long way in ensuring that you arrive at your destination safe and sound:

Select Less Popular Travel Days and Times

First things first – be mindful of when you travel. This is because certain dates, days, and times are more popular than others. As such, this is when the most number of people are likely to crowd into an airport and plane. Needless to say, this isn’t something that you want to deal with.

People who travel for business are most likely to travel on either Monday or Friday. Vacation goers may prefer to fly to their destination on a Friday or come back on a Sunday. Saturday, interestingly enough, isn’t as popular as everyone would assume.

Your best bet, though, would be to travel in the middle of the week when the fewest number of people will be around. It is also a good idea to fly as early in the morning as possible as no one wants these flights.

Stick to Nonstop Flights

If possible, try to avoid connecting flights with layovers. Instead, try to get nonstop flights. With flights that take you straight to your destination, you are exposed to fewer people. You only have to be in two airports and one plane.

When you have to switch flights, however, you have to go to a third airport. And, there is a good chance that you will have to wait around as well. This means that you will be exposed to more people, increasing your risk considerably.

Consider a Private Plane

The best way for you to travel is via California or Toronto private jet charter to your destination. This is because with private jets, you have the option to go to smaller airports with fewer people around. Most importantly, you will only be sharing an aircraft with people who you can guarantee are safe.

Now, hiring a Learjet can seem like an incredible expense. Still, with a bit of research, you may find that this isn’t the case at all. If you want to fly with a group of people, you can always split the cost. When you do this, you will realize that the price can be rather reasonable.

Keep Your Distance

If you are planning on flying commercial make it a point to keep your distance at all times. For instance, avoid standing in line as much as possible. You can check in online and bring your own snacks. You may even want to avoid sitting down in the same area as everyone else and be mindful of how close each person is to you.

Follow these safety rules and you will be surprised at how much less stressful your traveling will be. So, make sure to keep these in mind at all times.
