Over the years, Trippy Ja has been categorized as a rap producer in the industry; however, the “2020” album strategically pushes the boundaries of his genre. With over half of the songs utilizing guitar for the melody and chords, he has created a new blend of rap and rock. Furthermore, the artist featured in the hit song “Down with It” filled an entire verse with an alternative guitar solo. By replacing vocals with melodies of a humming guitar, Trippy has blown away many listeners with the unique sound.
